​Arthur Taylor

Consultant.

Arthur is a student of evolutionary biology and psychology, as well as cultural and social anthropology. His area ethnographic study is Western Civilization and it's myths.

Arthur returned to his childhood home of Fredericton in 2003 to help make the city more sustainable, and to pursue formal study of the social sciences.

Arthur has over a decade of experience in networking and grassroots organizing, and combines this experience with his part-time study of Social Enterprise to offer his unique brand of resilience and sustainability consulting services.

David Coon

MLA.

 A biologist by training, David worked as an environmental educator, organizer, and manager for 33 years, 28 of which with the Conservation Council of New Brunswick.

While at the Conservation Council he helped to create the Bay of Fundy Fisheries Council to work for community-based fisheries management. David also collaborated with the National Farmers Union to create the first agricultural conservation club in New Brunswick, and he has worked to establish community-managed forests on Crown lands.

Coon helped establish Harvest Share Co-op on Keswick Ridge, is a founder of the New Brunswick Community Land Trust, and was a director of the Ganong Nature Park in St. Stephen.

Rivers Corbett

Rivers Corbett, MBA is an award winning serial entrepreneur, speaker, and author of "13 Fears of Entrepreneurs" and "10 Insider Secrets all Business Owners Must Know."

He has received numerous business honors including Entrepreneur of the Year, Canada's Hottest Start-ups List and Canada's Fastest Growing Companies list through Profit magazine and recognized as one of Canada's 10 Mentor RockStars.

Rivers is presently a member of Startup Canada's National Advisory Council and founding entrepreneur of StartUP Fredericton. Most recently, he was the Entrepreneur in Residence at the University of New Brunswick.

Sherry Law

Bitcoin.

Sherry Law is a St Thomas and UNB alum, and works in virtual reality research, specifically in therapeutic applications.

Sherry is a vocal supporter of and educator on the peer-to-peer (p2p) digital currency called Bitcoin. She will be giving an introduction to Bitcoin, and discussing potential applications for this transparent, network-based currency.

Thandiwe McCarthy will be talking about the merging of creativity and education in an age of ubiquitous mobile computing.

Thandiwe feels that there is unprecedented potential to collaborate, innovate, and explore new paradigms through social media and open-source education.

Rodger Wilkie

Cyborg Identity.

Rodger Wilkie is an English professor at St Thomas University and speculative fiction writer.

Rodger's work, in and out of academia, explores the mythic, historic, and potential relationship between humans and technology. He teaches and writes about our cultural fascination - and move toward - the fusion of humanity and our machines.

Robert Ogiulvie holds an MBA from UNB, and is CEO of Talent Edge, which specializes in organizational and management consulting services. 

Robert's presentation is on how small, iterative enterprises can best use minimal resources to achieve maximum impact. 

Chris Rouse

Alternative & Renewable Energy.

Chris Rouse is a clean energy advisor with New Clear Free Solutions, and is vocal advocate of alternative energy and energy policy. 

Chris is currently working on legal and policy level strategies for establishing a safe and democratic energy industry in the province.
